Portrait Sculptures
Sculptor Ira Chaffin creates beautiful life-like Portrait Sculptures. Clients can
commission a portrait head, bust, or full figure, sculpted at life size, half life size or monumental heroic scale. Once the Artist completes the sculpture in clay or wax, it is then cast into bronze (the most permanent and best material), or hydrocal (plastic material) or plaster (traditional material but is the most fragile). Ira brings to each commission his utmost attention to small details and his great talent in order to capture the person’spersonality as well as their outward appearance. He is able to sculpt both living and deceased persons, and persons of different ages, races, and sex. Samples of some of his Portrait Commissions are shown.
